She cannot understand a lot of things, including life.
Life seems to be too surreal to be true. She just has to pause a moment – pause everything around her.
Pause the flurry of smses and phone calls. Pause the incessant student activity in the college. Pause the lectures, sorrows, mirth, fun, laughter, love and the plethora of emotions. Pause people. Pause the moment.
And then, she has to soak it all in, all of it. Try and savour every bit of what she sees around her in that moment, and wonder why.
*****He brought a bunch of fresh flowers to her. They smelled beautiful and intoxicating almost. He knew it would make her heart swell with love and he would get that most desired hug from her.
He longed for it.
He rang the door bell and waited anxiously shifting his body weight. He enacted various smiles that would floor her completely while in the wait. He wanted his smile to be just as enticing as the flowers.
He heard the footsteps coming closer. His heart pounded faster and his eyes widened unable to bear the excitement.
She opened the door with a bunch of fresh flowers in her hand.
He blinked not knowing what to make of it –
was it for him or was it for her?*****Dark street,
No lights,
Cold breeze,
Thoughts alight.
Only a moon,
No stars,
Solitary walk,
No scars.
Violent dogs,
People glee,
Strange you,
Observant me...
